Dill Dip With Cut Veggies

April 2, 2024
A great summer snack, appetizer dish for a party, or just because you want something that tastes so fresh!!!! I absolutely love dill dip. I started buying it in the store then I started to make it with dried herbs. It was so much better than the store bought dip. One day I decided to clip a bunch of herbs at the greenhouse and try making my dip with fresh herbs. I couldn’t believe the change in taste. I thought making my own dip with dried herbs was good…..but fresh herbs are 100% better. Now this is my go to dip every summer once my herbs are growing in the greenhouse. YUM!!!!!

This is such an easy recipe. No need for an electric mixer; just a sharp knife and some fresh herbs and veggies.

Mix it up and enjoy!

What You Need

You need mayonnaise, sour cream, dill, parsley, salt, and dried minced onion for the dip. You can use bell peppers, carrots, celery, cucumbers, chips or anything you like to dip with.

How To Make The Dip

This dip is so easy to make. You need a cutting board, sharp knife, spoon, and a bowl. Start by chopping the parsley and dill very fine.

Add the mayonnaise, sour cream, parsley, dill, dried minced onion, and salt to a bowl and mix.

After it’s mixed well, set it in the fridge to chill while you cut up the vegetables. You want it to chill for at least 1 hour. It can also chill overnight. The longer you let it sit the more the flavors stand out.

If you are looking to make single serving cups, make sure you cut all your vegetables into long strips.  I always like my vegetables cut up very thin, but don’t go too thin or else you can’t hold any dip on them.  I use full size carrots so you can cut them nice and long.  Make sure to peel them.

You can set your veggies on a dish or you can scoop 1/4 cup of dip into a clear cup and stick your veggies in the dip to make a cute dish for any party.

Enjoy!!!
